about edgarda

Edgarda Lepori is a landscape and travel photographer currently living in Switzerland. She became interested in photography 15 years ago, after moving to Lake Como, Italy. Inspired by the natural beauty of this area, she dedicated to capturing the extraordinary spirit of the Lake District. Following a basic course, Edgarda quickly developed her style and now is a (quite) full-time professional.
Edgarda shares a collection of landscapes images through her Instagram profile, and her pictures are fuelled by the love for traveling. Her followers are loyal and have grown rapidly (today about 7'000).

“The freedom is incredible and living in these beautiful places (Northern Italy and Switzerland) makes me really happy. I love minimal and simple life as well: wake up, watch the sunrise, make breakfast with a view wherever you are, it’s amazing. I fill my days with writing, reading and working on my pictures, attend theaters and take long walks with my small dog.
“From my standpoint as a photographer, being a compulsive traveller, organize routes inspire me immensely. This project of life is giving me satisfaction and a sense of peace, being immersed in nature”.
“I’ve been inspired by so many talented people since the beginning: a long list, but I resume:
Derrière l’objectif de Willy Ronis
The Ongoing Moment, Geoff Dyer
Capturing Light, Michael Freeman
“I am currently criminally over-traveling in Europe, especially in the last year. I have plans for 2019-2020 to go for fjords, Alp's mountains and the mid-East for some iconographic research. Needless to say, I’m excited for that as I have been dreaming of those far-away lands for quite some time now.
"The increasing accessibility to photography is interesting. Camera technology has come a long way since the dawn of digital and it is easier than ever for somebody to decide If they want to start shooting. In this regard I hold courses to improve the photographic technique, which can be combined with research trips.
“I have some personal projects I’d like to work on, one of which is a series of photo books, based around traveling solo, without forgetting the shooting of a certain list of themes (cemeteries, islands, textures etc.)"
